When we were here in Taiwan 2 years ago, one of the highlights was a music festival we went to called Luv Stock. It was held in an old abandoned amusement park in Taichung and was just such a chilled out weekend. We loved wandering around and looking at the abandoned rides with trees growing through them, and chilling in the spa while watching the performances.
So, we had naturally planned to go again this year.
When Steve and Malinda mentioned that they were planning on selling food there and asked if we wanted to sell some aswell, we thought, sure! That could be fun!!
We didn't know how much hard work selling food at a festival was!
We naively presumed that at a festival expecting more than 2000 people, that there would be several food vendors.. Nope, it turned out to be us, and one other stall selling small costco pizzas that were apparently not very nice.
Needless to say, with our amazing food, we were slammed from the time we started selling at 2pm until when we sold out at 2am, it was a constant flow of hungry and drunk party-goers.
Luckily our stall was right near one of the main stages so we still got to hear most of the music because we certainly didn't have the time to go and watch any of it!
But I'm not complaining. Working at a festival is something Roh and I have always spoken about, and it was a lot of fun! We met some wonderful people and it made us happy that people enjoyed our food. Our record stands with JP who consumed 6 servings in the one night!
We look forward to the next Luv Stock, although we might not plan to sell quite as much next time.
