It’s hard to believe it’s already been a month on the road with NED!
I guess that’s because we haven’t really done very much camping in him yet. We have been lucky enough to friend and family hop our way pretty much the whole way from Brisbane to Albury. And it’s been amazing!
Whilst camping is fun and exploring is amazing, I truly LOVE being able to visit and catch up with friends along the way. We caught up with friends we travelled with in Laos back in 2009, and others that we travelled with last year in India or in Sri Lanka. We saw friends we haven’t seen since the good old UQ days in 1999!! Other friends we used to work with on Tangalooma in 2010, and others from Hamilton Island back in 2008!! We even got to catch up with our friends from our beloved Ashram! It’s amazing how it doesn’t matter if it’s been 2 months, or 15 years, true friends are true friends and I love how the conversations and smiles flow like no time at all has passed <3. We truly are blessed with some amazing people in our lives and having little reunions along the way is definitely one of the perks of doing a road trip in our own country!
Currently we are here in Albury, catching up with some friends and lots of family. It’s so lovely to watch Gypsy as she gets to know her cousins, and they have slumber parties and play dress ups together. Whilst the adults enjoy some adult time with platters of cheese and pots of tea. It’s been perfect.
A wonderful way to start our journey.
